A gay couple photographed by Steve Eason strolls passed a controversial street painting on the Berlin Wall in 1993. The painting depicts Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev and German leader Erich Honecker sharing a kiss, and echoes a famous photograph that is most likely the inspiration for a recent United Colors of Benetton advertising campaign. Titled “Unhate”, the campaign features world leaders and dignitaries locking lips, and can be seen here.
